The annual AVCJ Women in Asian Private Equity will return to Hong Kong on 10 December 2019 following a successful launch event that bought together over 120 private equity professionals including 40 LPs.
This year’s forum will continue to drive the conversation forward and focus on the issues and challenges the private equity and venture capital industry faces in areas such as tackling gender equality, retaining and promoting female investment professionals and the benefits of a diverse workforce on financial returns, all from the perspective of regional and global GPs, LPs and industry experts.
Make sure that you contribute to a day of high-level industry debates surrounding the diversity agenda and help to ensure that the private equity and venture capital ecosystem in Asia continues to advance in this area.
2018 event highlights:
Keynote address from Anna Cheung, Chief Executive at Jardine Pacific on promoting board diversity
A session examining what diversity considerations LPs look for when selecting a fund manager, featuring CPPIB, OTPP and Harbourvest
Senior management insights on promoting and advancing women in the industry from leading GPs including Bain Capital, KKR, Hamilton Lane and TPG Capital
A venture capital discussion with speakers from regional and global firms including 500 Startups on how the industry can foster an inclusive environment for female entrepreneurs
Insights on mentoring young female professionals in the industry, attracting sponsorship and building your brand, featuring insights from Baring Private Equity Asia, EQT Partners and more
“Kudos to AVCJ for
leading this discussion in Asia, and for including both men and women
across the entire private markets. Lots of sharing and great ideas to improve
our organisations. We mark our calendars for next year's AVCJ Women in Asian Private Equity Forum.”
Juan Delgado-Moreira, Vice Chairman, HAMILTON LANE
“Very happy to participate in AVCJ’s inaugural Women in Asian Private
Equity Forum. Asia is behind other regions in terms of gender equality in
numerous aspects and such initiatives to discuss issues and possible solutions
will bring us closer to closing the gap.”
