Kirk M. Beaton is a partner of Lexington Partners and manager of Lexington’s Hong Kong office. Mr. Beaton is engaged in the origination and evaluation of secondary purchases of Asian private equity and alternative investments, and sourcing Asian co-investment opportunities for funds managed by Lexington. Prior to moving to Hong Kong in 2011 to open the Lexington office, Mr. Beaton spent eight years as an investment professional in London with Lexington. Mr. Beaton was previously an analyst in investment banking at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Beaton graduated from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow with an LLB (Honors) and Universität Hamburg and Universidad Complutense de Madrid with a European masters in economics and law.

Mr. Jin Ho Chai is a Partner and Head of Investment Division II at STIC. He joined STIC in 2010, and played roles of deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management. He played key roles in STIC’s secondary and special opportunity strategies. Mr. Chai has extensive network and capability to make proprietary deals, which differentiates the fund’s investment portfolio from those of competitors.
Prior to joining STIC, Mr. Chai was the chief executive officer and co-founder of GoldenPole, a corporate restructuring consultancy firm. Before that, he was a project manager at Korea Corporate Restructuring Corporation (KCRC), an M&A advisor for distressed companies. He began his career as an equity research analyst at Shinyoung Securities in 1998.
Mr. Chai holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in economics from Seoul National University.

Cliff Chau joined HOPU Investments in 2012 and serves as CFO, Co-COO and Partner in charge of healthcare investments. Cliff has over 20 years of experience in international financial industry with in-depth financial advisory and management experience in both the U.S. and China. Besides his CFO and Co-COO duties, he focuses on building a HOPU healthcare ecosystem and investing in biotech, medtech and healthcare services companies.
Cliff brings a wealth of experience in investments, risk management, operations and sales & marketing to his approach to healthcare industry. His current portfolio companies include Ambrx Inc., a biopharmaceutical company headquartered in San Diego, Mevion Medical Systems, a proton therapy system company headquartered in Massachusetts and I-Mab Biopharma, a China-based global player in innovative biologics and he sits on the boards of Ambrx and Mevion. In the early stage of his career, Cliff was responsible for the sales and marketing of clinical and laboratory products of Beckman Instruments, Bio-Rad and Merck in China.
Prior to joining HOPU, Cliff was the Managing Director and Head of Finance Department of China Investments Corporation (CIC). He was a member of CIC’s risk management committee and an observer of investment committee. He also represented CIC sitting on the boards of CITIC Capital and China Jianyin Investment Limited. Before CIC, Cliff was a Partner of KPMG’s Transaction Services Practice, where he advised numerous cross-border transactions and was deeply involved with assisting companies to implement their China strategies. He worked at KPMG’s Beijing office and Los Angeles office.

Jim Hildebrandt is a Managing Director of Bain Capital in Hong Kong and a founder of the Bain Capital Asia business.
Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Hildebrandt was a partner at Bain & Company, helping to establish Asian offices in China, Korea, Southeast Asia and Australia. Mr. Hildebrandt served on the Global Operating and Compensation Committees, and had regional leadership responsibility for the Private Equity and Financial Services Practices.

Mr. Kim joined PAG in March 2010 and is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of PAG Private Equity, the private equity arm of PAG, based in Hong Kong. He is a member of the Investment Team for PAG Asia Capital, which manages the firm’s buyout funds. He is also responsible for investor relations and fundraising activities for the firm’s private equity buyout and growth strategies. Mr. Kim has over 20 years of experience in investment banking, including 15 years at Lehman Brothers in New York, Los Angeles, Seoul and Hong Kong. Prior to joining PAG in 2010, Mr. Kim was head of the Asia Financial Institutions Group at Nomura International and Lehman Brothers.
Mr. Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Yale College, a Master of Science degree in aeronautics from Caltech and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Eric J. Kim is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Goodwater Capital, a global venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley with over $800 million in AUM. Eric has led investments into leading digital companies such as Kakao (IPO – KOSDAQ:035720), Musical.ly (acquired by Bytedance / Tik Tok), Coupang, Xendit, Zenefits, Memebox, Frank & Oak, Viva Republica (Toss), Pager, Tophatter, Simple Health, Everlywell, Anomalie, and Dote.
Prior to co-founding Goodwater, Eric was a Managing Director at Maverick Capital where he helped to build Maverick's private investment practice during his tenure. Eric was also on the executive team of two technology companies spun out of Stanford University. Eric began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company.
Eric first learned to code as an undergrad at Yale University where he majored in Cognitive Science (Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude) and was a member of the Grammy-nominated Yale Cellos. Yi-Dongis the Head of Deal Advisory 5 in KPMG Korea, with over 17 years experience asa partner specializing in financial advisory services (Fund Investment Advisory& Corporate Finance).
Yi-Dong focuses on providing corporate finance and investment advisory services, including mezzanine investment fund, merger and acquisitions, private equity investments, joint ventures, and valuation services.
Regarding M&A services, Yi-Dong recently provided buyer-side advisory services for the acquisition of Wonbang Tech Co., Ltd., and KCI Limited. He also provided sell-side advisory services for the sale of KDA Ltd., Donghae Machinery & Aviation Co., Ltd., and NOX Corp.

IMM Private Equity, Inc. is one of the leading private equity investment firms in Korea with approximately US$3 billion under management.
At IMM, Hae-Joon Joseph Lee is responsible for sourcing and executing private equity investments in Korea and Asia and cooperating with Korean and international investors on fund and co-investment opportunities.
Previously, Mr. Lee was with Fortress Investment Group, Morgan Stanley, and Skadden, Arps in New York. Mr. Lee served in the Republic of Korea (ROK) Army as an officer in the ROK Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Jay Hyun is a managing director in the Principal Investment Area, managing investments in Korea.
Previously, he worked in the Investment Banking Division for seven years. Jay Hyun joined Goldman Sachs in 2004 as an associate and was named managing director in 2015. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at BNP Paribas, J.P. Morgan, KPMG Korea and Korea Long Term Credit Bank.

Jung Yup Lee is a Senior Principal, Private Equity Asia at CPPIB. He was a partner and head of Korea at Headland Capital Partners. He began his career in 2000 with H&Q Asia Pacific Korea in Seoul.

Mr. Makam joined Oaktree in 2001 and currently serves as co-portfolio manager for the Middle-Market Finance Group. His primary responsibilities include oversight of the group’s professionals, portfolio construction and overall management of the Mezzanine Finance and Middle-Market Direct Lending strategies. Mr. Rodney Muse is one of two Managing Partners of Navis. He leads Investments teams in making, monitoring and exiting investments, sits on Investment Committee and sits on the boards and /or executive committees of several Navis portfolio companies. He has been active in Navis investments across many industries and geographies since Navis' inception.

Heeeun Park scored with the mobile dating service IUM she founded in Korea in 2010 and led within four years to a market-leading position of more than 1million subscribers. Her encore: join the firm that backed her startup, Altos ventures, and it relatively large $395 milion Korean fund. She has been in charge of Korea investment for the past five years since the formation of the company's first Korean fund. A star in the Seoul startup scene, she has invested in more than 30 Korean mobile and consumer tech companies. Starting her career as a strategy manager at online gaming publisher and developer NCsoft. She received a B.A in Communications from the Seoul Nat’l University and was selected by Forbes as the 30 under 30 in 2016.

Jaeuk Park is the founder and CEO of VCNC, a company building mobile communication service for couples called Between. Between provides private online space for couples to communicate and share their memories. It is the first and the biggest private social media for couples in the world. VCNC had acquired by SOCAR, Korean no.1 mobility company in 2018. Jaeuk became COO of SOCAR after joining SOCAR.
After the acquisition, VCNC launched TADA, no.1 premium ride-hailing platform in Korea.
Jaeuk majored in both electrical engineering and business administration at Seoul National University.

Aaron is a managing director and co-founder of Ascendo Ventures, a venture capital firm based in Korea that invests in tech-based startups and accelerates their growth via cross-border business development. Aaron was previously an Asia Investment Partner at Formation 8. Aaron led investments in a variety of industries including virtual reality, big data, healthcare, consumer technology and entertainment.
Prior to Formation 8, Aaron served as an investment professional at Softbank Ventures Korea, a venture capital subsidiary of Softbank Corp., focusing on startups and growth stage companies in e-commerce, digital content and other technology sectors. Aaron began his career as a co-founder and CTO of NodeNIC in South Korea, where he invented a patented domain lookup technology and led software development.
Aaron earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Seoul National University in South Korea.

Mr. Vadim Shpak joined Vickers in 2016 as Managing Director. He contributes to Vickers’s overall investment strategy, by, among other things, participating in investment selection and recommendation, and portfolio monitoring. In this regard, he also maintains relationships with portfolio companies and works with them to enhance strategic and financial value.
Vadim also participates in the ongoing management and monitoring of both the financial and operational aspects of Vickers’s fund investments. He establishes and maintains relationships with institutional and individual investors to provide comprehensive and current updates and reports of the Vickers funds to enhance understanding of the value created by the firm.

Mr Tsang has been in the finance industry for over 20 years, in particular he has close to two decades of experience in private equity and venture capital. Prior to founding Strategic Year Holdings Limited, he spent 13 years at Baring Private Equity Asia (“Baring Asia”), where his last position was Managing Director. He was the Founding Partner of Baring Asia’s Beijing office. Prior to that, he was with Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific doing equity research, focusing on media and retail sectors. In the 1990s, Mr Tsang began his career at Peregrine Investment Holdings, where he was involved with Asian fixed income sales and marketing.
Mr Tsang is currently President, Co-Chairman of PRC Committee and Co-Chairman of Real Assets Committee of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA). Previously, he was Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association’s Chairman of the Board (2013-2015). Mr Tsang is a Member of the Mainland Business Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC). He is also the Co-Chairman of the Financial Services Committee of Hong Kong China Chamber of Commerce (HKCHCC). Prior to founding Strategic Year Holdings Limited, he was an Asia Senior Advisor with Apollo Education Group.

Mr. Bing Xu is the co-founder of SenseTime who is passionate about building AI innovations for a better tomorrow. Before founding SenseTime, Bing was a PhD candidate conducting research on deep learning and computer vision at the Multimedia Lab of Chinese University of Hong Kong. Bing, together with several co-founders from the same university lab, founded SenseTime in 2014 and cultivated the company into the largest AI pure-play globally in 5 years. Bing is a key executive of the company, primarily managing corporate development strategies and overseeing fundraising activities. Bing’s efforts have raised over $2.5Bn in capital for SenseTime thus far. Bing was named one of the most promising innovators under 35 in China by the MIT Tech Review and is featured on Forbes 30 under 30 Asia List.
Bing holds two bachelor’s degrees in Information Engineering and in Mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

David is a Managing Director at Top Tier and is a member of the Firm’s Investment Committee. He also leads the corporate development team and is responsible for the management, development and growth of Top Tier’s offerings. His thirty plus years of industry knowledge and networking uniquely equips him to be a liaison and international ambassador not only for Top Tier’s brand, but also the broader venture community. In 2000, David joined Phil Paul to lead the fund of funds team at Paul Capital which spun out in 2011 to form Top Tier. Over the past three decades in Silicon Valley and during his tenure on different trading desks on Wall Street, including posts at Chase H&Q, Volpe Welty & Co., Drexel Burnham Lambert and Paine Webber, David has developed an extensive network among private equity managers, particularly venture capitalists. David graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in industrial and systems engineering.

Wei Zhou is the Founding Managing Partner at CCV. Before starting CCV, Mr. Zhou was Managing Partner at KPCB China as a founding member, and led its digital practice group in Greater China.
Leading the top-tier Silicon Valley VC China fund for 10 years, Mr. Zhou backed companies at early stage including JD.com (NASDAQ:JD), CreditEase (NYSE:YRD), Rong360 (NYSE:JT), Himalaya FM, Yixia.com, Tan Tan (acquired by NASDAQ: MOMO), VenusTech (SZ:002439), Manzuo.com (acquired by SuNing), Yixia.com, ULUCU (NEEQ:837110), Miaozhen Systems, Asia Innovation Group, Scinor Water (acquired by TRCE:300332), KJY Water (NEEQ:835159), and Arrail Dental. After establishing CCV, Mr. Zhou invested JD Digits, Perfect, Ice Kredit, Zuzuche, Veer VR, Menya, Bizvane, Joyrun, Cowa Robot, Lomotif, Dingdong Class, Shukun Technology, and Yunhu Health. Wanka Online (HKSE:1762) went public in December 2018, less than 18 months after CCV’s series B investment.
Before joining KPCB China as a founding member, Mr. Zhou was the CEO of Shanghai Hanbo Tech Co., a leading e-payment solution provider, which was later successfully acquired. Prior to that, Mr. Zhou held senior positions at Start Computer Group (SH:600734) since 1994. As the youngest executive, he grew from a regional operation leader to the supervisor of the entire e-payment ecosystem and corporate M&A. He led the company throughout its startup stage, IPO, to the following years of fast growth.
Mr. Zhou was named among China’s Top 20 Best Venture Capitalists by Forbes, China’s Top 30 Most Influential Venture Capitalists by Fortune, China’s Top 10 Best Venture Capitalist by CV Awards, China’s Top 10 Influential Investors by Huaxing Group, and China’s Top 50 Founding Partners Voted by Fund of Funds by FoF Weekly.
Mr. Zhou also serves as a governor and treasurer of China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (“CVCA”).
Mr. Zhou holds an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
